Amit shares e-Gov based ethical solutions at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: Amit Sharma, Regional Director (RD), Survey & Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer), Udhampur/Reasi shared lot of perspectives regarding incorporating ethical practices and values-based deliverance by police during a 3-day course on ethical practices for police officers at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA).
While addressing a group of police officers including IPS probationers, Amit Sharma talked about various traditional ethical values which still hold the fort such as truthfulness, promptness, quick response, punctuality, work culture, empathy and few others with the help of latest e-Gov tools. He quoted several contemporary examples for raising the motivation levels of police officers attending the said course.
It was an effort on part of him to make the twin sessions being taken by him highly interactive based upon a blend of long experience and fresh education so that best strategies could be evolved for facing public with eGov based ethical conduct and deliverance in times to come.
During active discussions led by Amit Sharma, several aspects of moral policing based on e-Gov solutions such creation of cyber cells based on live GPS tracking, usage of CCTNS (e-Gov based National Mission Project), Real-Time Crime Tracking, Anti-Data hacking solutions, financial fraud detection softwares, Cloud Storage Solutions for Data, Google App and iPhone mobile App for lodging FIRs, USSD Codes (SMS) usage for connecting to nearest available Police Assistance, etc were taken-up.
Amit pointedly mentioned that modern policing should be strictly based upon such user-friendly solutions so that public at large comes out of fear psychosis related to police and its wings.
Earlier, SKPA Director, Suleman Salaria, inaugurated the workshop along with Amit Sharma. Few officers who were actively participating in the discussion include SP Nasir Ahmad, Deputy SP Nikhil Rasgotra, Deputy SP Updesh Kumar, Deputy SP Rashid Akbar, Inspector Sanjeev Gupta, Inspector Anil Raina, two IPS Probationers, Senior PO Ranjeev who was Course Coordinator, AD (Adm) SKPA Stanzin and others.
