NEW DELHI, Dec 13: Director Census Operations (DCO) & Director Citizen Registration (DCR) for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Amit Sharma gave a CLT Formula for an accelerated economic growth of Bharat during PHDCCI States’ Policy 2025 Conclave held at New Delhi.
Sharma was invited to give keynote address as a special guest in the inaugural session of PHDCCI conclave about making India a developed economy with fast track growth and development approach.
He talked about CLT formula which he elaborated as Census, Lithium and Technology, to ensure holistic contribution towards accelerating the rate of economic growth in the nation over next couple of years.
Sharma elaborated ‘C’ in the form of upcoming Digital Census 2026-27, which shall become the lifeline of economic growth and shall be the maiden paperless digital Census to be conducted all across the nation.
“This Census shall give most reliable, accurate and definitive results for pacing-up the growth and development, policy-making, through its multiplicity of ramifications in each and every sector of the economy,” he maintained adding that the second word ‘L’ was mentioned as Lithium, reserves of which were recently discovered in Reasi district of J&K, for which a dedicated ‘India Lithium Mission’ is the need of the hour, as India can become a true global leader through the extraction of this critical mineral, which is used in our mobile phone batteries, electric vehicle batteries, pacemakers and many other essential goods and services.
“The third word ‘T’ as a part of his formula is Technology, which is the basis of all reforms,” Amit Sharma further said.
Dr. Jatinder Singh, Deputy Director General of PHDCCI, passed a token of gratitude from PHDCCI to Amit Sharma for his invaluable contribution for making the Conclave a resounding success while assuring him that his ideas shall be taken-up with all relevant Departments/ Ministries to let them see light of the day soon.
