JAMMU Sept 14: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar inaugurated newly installed transformer of 250 KVA at Laxmi Vihar Tomal and 100KVA at Hazuri Bagh Bohri. Accompanied by PDD officials, dozens of local residents and political activists of the area, Ambardar inaugurated the newly installed transformer in the presence of scores of people.
MLC said that these areas have been facing power crisis from the past several years and they also face long hours of power cuts so for fulfilling demands of the locals of the area such step have been taken in order to eradicate the crisis of power from these areas.
The funds for the installation of the Transformer were sanctioned by the MLC from his constituency Development Fund (CDF).
The MLC assured the residents of the area that their legitimate demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner as the present dispensation of BJP-PDP Government in the State and the Government at Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved total development and prosperity of the State.
He said the State is facing huge deficit in power sector annually and urged the people to save energy and use power judiciously. He said that the State Government is working on multiple Hydro Power projects which will help to overcome the power shortage in the State.
Ambardar stated that there is a dire requirement of many more Transformers and has also approached the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh in this regard and he has also assured that every possible help will be provided by the Department in order to overcome the crisis of power from Jammu and Kashmir.
