Amarnathji Yatra Permit Forms revamped with Quick Response Code

JAMMU, Apr 10: Chief Executive Officer of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board Umang Narula today said that the existing Yatra Permit Forms have been further improved for ensuing yatra. Each new Yatra Permit Form is coded with a Quick Response Code (QR Code) and Bar Code for effective enumeration and tracking of pilgrims embarking on both yatra routes.
This initiative of the Board will help in real time monitoring of the movement of yatris on both the Yatra tracks of Baltal axis as well as of Pahalgam axis, enabling the officials involved in the yatra management to provide timely assistance in case of weather vagaries or any other emergency. This will help Enforcement Agencies at the Access Control Gates to quickly count the yatris and regulate the yatra.
Besides the revised Yatra Permit Forms which have been printed from India Security Press, Nasik contain several high security features, for example an Ashoka Pillar ‘Water Mark’ which is printed on the Form, in the same manner as in Currency Notes; “Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board” is printed in the background relief tint along with the Shrine Board’s Logo; a ‘micro-text’ line, which can only be seen under a powerful magnifying glass, and the Logo printed in fluorescent blue ink, which also can be visible only under Ultra Violet Light. These Yatra Permit Forms are in different colours for each day and each route.
Narula stressed that, for ensuring effective security arrangements along the difficult tracks, only those yatris who are in possession of a Yatra Permit which is valid for a specified date and route will be allowed to proceed beyond the Base Camps, and cross the Entry Gates at Domel and Chandanwari.
