JAMMU, Dec 5: Amar Balidan Trust today performed the Samohik Yagnopavit ceremony at Swami Kral Bub Ashram, Bantalab near, here in which a large number of people took part and blessed the boys whose Yagnopavit ceremony was performed on the occasion.
The function started yesterday evening with Kalsh Puja. The wearing of sacred thread ceremony was performed by Swami Kumar Ji of Ghari Ashram and Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsangh Ashram , Muthi. The chanting of Mantras from Vedas and Upnishadas reverberated the atmosphere and soothed the soul.
The Bhajan and Kirtan was held yesterday and today also to invoke the divine blessings. The entire religious ceremony was performed according to Kashmiri Hindu tradition, culture, custom and rituals. A K Raina president of the Trust was the main Yajman. On the occasion, M L Malla a senior KP leader along with Swami Kumar Ji of Ghari and Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsangh Ashram threw light on religious significance of Yagnopavit in accordance with Sanatan Dharma.
All the devotees and guests were served with Prashad on the occasion.
The prominent community members who attended the function included P K Raina, Kashmiri Lal, M K Yogi, R L Bhat, Dr T K Bhat, Sundri Lal, S K Koul, T K Koul Jigyasu, M L Gulabi, Kuldeep Raina, Ravi Jogi, V K Raina, Ramesh Kumar, Rajinder Premi, Aryan Ramesh and Bharat Bushan, besides the members of the Trust including R K Bhat, R L Wali, S K Bhat, Ashok Pandita, Rohit Bhat and Naveen Kumar.
