All India painters camp concludes

RAJOURI, June 18: A three- day  painting camp organized by Himalayan Education Mission Society, Rajouri  in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (Regd), concluded today in the Himalayan auditorium here.
The valedictory function was chaired by  Ch Qamar Hussain, MLA Rajouri  whereas,  Dr Haseeb Mughal,  SSP Rajouri presided over. It was attended by a large number of artists, social activists and art lovers besides educationists, students and members of the civil society.
Farooq Muztar, founder patron HEMS in his welcome address presented the vision of the Himalayan Education Mission Society to make this entire Peer Panchal range a world class knowledge society with all the necessary ingredients of a civilized and healthy society. He stressed the  need for promotion of peace building measures, communal harmony, art and culture  and collective efforts for the holistic development  of the border hilly belt of Peer Panchal.  He thanked O P Sharma, Director JKCCA and Alam Dar Adam  for making this event a successful one.
The artists who were felicitated during the function included Jang S Verman, Kulwant Singh Gill,  Dharminder Sharma ( Punjab),   Prabhinder Lall,  Reena Choudhary- Haryana, Chhaya Dubey- Bhopal; Amrit Kaur, Anuradha, Sahil Ohri and Dhananjay from Jammu; Tariq Mehmood- Surankote, Jyoti Singh -Gaziabad; Rakshanda Yadav, Bheem Tal; O P Sharma- Jammu; Kartar Chand-Poonch and Pardeep Khanna- Poonch.
Prominent among who spoke and graced  the occasion included Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Abdul Qayoom Dar,  Nisar Hussain Rahi,  Nazir Qureshi, Azam Shah, MN Qureshi,  Dr JA Qazi  Principal PG College Rajouri, Prof Mussraf  Shah, Prof Sawarkar Singh,  Sabar Mirza, Prof Rashid Choudhary and  Chander Mohan.
