AJKTWA members discuss issues with Transport Minister

JAMMU, Feb 12: All Jammu & Kashmir Transport Welfare Association (AJKTWA) in a meeting held with Minister for Transport, discussed key issues concerning the welfare and development of transporters in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Acting promptly on the directions of the Minister, the Joint Transport Commissioner, along with the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Jammu and concerned Assistant Regional Transport Officers (ARTOs), today visited the newly constructed Inspection and Certification Centre at Vijaypur.
During the visit, it was observed that the centre has been constructed at a cost of Rs 14.40 crores and is scheduled to be inaugurated in the coming days. The centre has been developed in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and is equipped with fully automated, state-of-the-art, high-tech facilities.
This modern facility aims to streamline vehicle inspection and certification processes, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and compliance with national standards. The establishment of this fully automatic Inspection and Certification Centre will significantly benefit the transport fraternity by providing advanced testing infrastructure and improving service delivery in the region.
The transporters expressed their gratitude to the Minister for patiently listening to their concerns and for extending full cooperation towards addressing their demands. They appreciated his proactive approach and commitment to the welfare and progress of the transporters of J&K UT.
AJKTWA reaffirmed its commitment to working in coordination with the Transport Department for the betterment of the transport sector and the overall development of the Union Territory.
