AJKKU expresses concern over scarcity of fertilizers

JAMMU, July 17: Expressing concern over scarcity of chemical fertilizers and irrigation system in Jammu region, All J&K Kissan Union (AJKKU) has demanded that urgent measures be taken immediately to address these problems facing by the farmers.
In a statement issued here today, Chairman of the Kissan Union, Ashok Sharma urged for taking short and long term measures by all the concerned agencies to ensure that the farming community gets timely supply of quality seeds, fertilizers, other agricultural inputs and assured supply of irrigation water for in-time sowing of crop and adequate production.
He reiterated that Kissan Bhawans be set up at all the Panchayats where from all the agricultural inputs and other scientific techniques be provided to the farmers for modernizing agricultural operations for enhancing farm production and productivity.
