JAMMU, July 16: To look after the affairs of Jatt Community, All Jammu and Kashmir Jatt Sabha (AJKJS) today announced its executive committee.
A meeting of AJKJS was held under the chairmanship of its president and former Member Legislative Assembly, Piara Singh, who announced the executive committee.
The members of the executive committee are Tarlok Singh Bajwa, Manjeet Singh, Gharu Ram, Sham Lal, Choudhary Sukhnandan, Jaswant Singh, Jagar Singh, Prof DL Choudhary, Taranjeet Singh, Ramesh Lal, Partap Singh, Jagat Ram, Ghaar Singh, Mohan Singh, Kamal Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Narinder Singh Chahal, Paramdeep Singh, Shaam Lal, Darshan Lal, Baldev Singh, Dharamveer Singh and Rahim Dar.
In the meeting, incharge for the districts from the executive committee were also announced, who included Partap Singh for Kathua, Manjeet Singh for Samba, Tarlok Singh Bajwa for RS Pura, Gharu Ram for Jammu rural, Sham Lal MLA for Jammu urban, Dharamveer Choudhary for Akhnoor and Surinder Choudhary for Rajouri.
During the meeting it was also decided that the announced executive committee will submit its suggestion regarding the upliftment of the community to its president Piara Singh, within a time period of six months.
After submitting the report, a general meeting of the Sabha will be held at its headquarters, RS Pura, Jammu and the formal announcement of new president of AJKJS will be made.
