JAMMU, Aug 27: Amid unprecedented rains and extreme weather that have severely disrupted telecom services across Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, Bharti Airtel today announced special measures to support its customers and ensure continued connectivity.
Airtel in a statement issued said, prepaid users whose plans are expiring this week will automatically receive a 3-day extension with unlimited calls and 1GB data per day, even if they are unable to recharge.
Postpaid and broadband customers will also get a 3-day grace period on bill payments to avoid service interruptions.
In addition, the company has enabled Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR) across Jammu, Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, allowing customers to stay connected through other available networks during the crisis.
Airtel said its teams are working tirelessly on the ground to restore services at the earliest.
“Airtel stands with the people of these regions and remains committed to keeping them connected,” the company stated.
