JAMMU, July 26: All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) has urged the Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to look into the matter of suspension and alleged victimisation of senior Engineers and technical staff of Power Development Department (PDD) to avoid the confrontation between employees and management.
V K Gupta, Spokesperson AIPEF said that the PDD management has suspended these officials on account of Feeder losses, Grid disturbances and not attending to public grievances while on the other hand, the Engineers and employees have given a work boycott call from July 30 against arbitrary suspensions and attachments.
AIPEF has demanded immediate vacation of suspensions and victimisation of PDD engineers to avoid confrontation between employees and management as the peak power season is only halfway through and the general public should not be made to suffer due to management’s attitude.
