JAMMU, Jan 19: All India Mahajan Shiromani Sabha (AIMSS) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its general secretary Kailash Kumar Langer and expressed concern over the recent Cabinet reshuffle.
The members expressed concern over the fact that Mahajan Community people who are more than 50 lakhs in J&K were totally ignored in the recent change of political dispensation.
While speaking, Kailash Kumar Langer said that Mahajans belong to elite class of society who are highly educated and law abiding people.
He said that since Maharajas rule, they had been occupying important and significant positions in the ruling dispensation, adding that it is unfortunate that since last many years their community has been ignored by not providing representation in the Government.
During the meeting, the members resolved to approach Chief Minister with a memorandum requesting him to provide due representation to the Community in the Council of Ministers.
