JAMMU, Mar 5:  A meeting of AIMCCC Core Committee was held at Jagti Township wherein some burning issues of the people were discussed. The committee also decided to hold Shiv Raatri Milan on the coming festival.
The committee meeting was chaired by BK Raina. While speaking in the meeting, he said community do have representatives either in State Assembly or in the Parliament. But our organization is capable to raise the problems of KPs and has been raising from time to time. The common masses must support AIMCCC organization.
Raina alleged that some people are trying to make Jagti Township  a political Akhara  to project themselves as leaders of community. We request them to start their struggle from their fields, they are residing. We lost 36 years of life by supporting such  people. We appeal the community not to believe on false and hollow statements.
AIMCCC president Desh Rattan Pandita said that KPs are actually not migrant workers or birds but refugees in our own country since 1989-90. Due to the failure of governments and agencies since then, we are wandering from one place to another without having any permanent home address. It is shame for all agencies and those political parties who are involved in making KPs refugees.
“ We  are going to make a good political platform to give a clear message, not only to governments but to all those who are making mockery on our migration,” Pandita claimed.
General secretary and vice president of organization- Jawahar Lal  Raina and P N Jalali  also spoke on the occasion They said organization is going to hold Shiv Raatri Milan in which hundreds of people are expected to participate. It is not only a milan but a convention- cum -seminar so that all community leaders and activists can debate on present political scenario especially position of KPs and role of governments.  We are going to organize a protest rally also to make our problems highlighted in coming days, they added.
Several other members were also present on the occasion.
