JAMMU, May 19: All India Migrants Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) in a meeting today held under the chairmanship of B K Raina discussed the prevailing problems of Kashmiri migrants.
Addressing the meeting Desh Rattan Pandita said that return of displaced Pandits is a sensitive issue and in this regard the community has not empowered anybody to take a unilateral decision.
The meeting said AIMCCC will convene a meeting soon at Jagti to deliberate over this sensitive issue. He said the situation in Kashmir is not conducive for return as yet and community leadership needs to be consulted on this vital issue.
The meeting also discussed various other issues faced by the community and demanded a job package be announced for the unemployed KP youth. It also demanded passage of Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Temples Bill for the safeguard of Hindu religious places and shrines in Valley which suffered a constant damage due to 36 year long turmoil.
The meeting expressed concern over delaying tactics of Government on this long pending issue.
The meeting also demanded restoration of migrants land as well as the land of temple and shrines encroached by some unscrupulous persons in the Valley.
