JAMMU, July 8: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) has demanded installation of four bore wells in Jagti township to overcome the water scarcity and save the inmates of township from supply of contaminated water.
The demand was made in the meeting of AIMCCC today held at Jagti township under the chairmanship of its president, Desh Rattan Pandita. He said, that installation of four bore wells at Jagti township for smooth supply of pure drinking water is most important since the day of shifting to Jagti township from different camps. AIMCCC has been demanding continuously installation of bore wells as the present system of supply of water to township is neither perfect nor suitable, he added.
Rattan alleged “Since decades we are drinking impure water due to which inmates of township are suffering from water borne diseases,. Some time back Relief Organization handed over this water supply scheme to Jal Shakti still the township could not get pure drinking water so the only solution to this problem is installation of bore wells immediately”, he added.
While speaking vice president, P N Jalali said, that“ We requested to Central Government so many times for enhancement of cash relief which is need of the time,. Last time we protested in favour of enhancement of cash relief but Government has been continuously ignoring this demand while it is busy in appeasement of Kashmir based majority community.
