AIMCCC delegation meets Additional Commissioner

JAMMU, Feb 13: All India Migrant Camps Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) delegation met Additional Commissioner in Divisional Commissioner’s Office here today and submitted a charter of demands for immediate redressal.
The delegation was led by president AIMCCC, Desh Ratten Pandita who was accompanied by P N Jalali, vice president, of the organization, R K Koul its organiser, Ramesh Tikoo area coordinator, Anil Kumar Mehta, Youth Wing secretary, Sagar Koul, coordinator, Kulwant Singh, district president Srinagar and others.
The delegation said that the pending problems of migrants’ need immediate solution. It discussed all problems threadbare.
They included continuous supply of power and water at Jagti township and in all camps and non camps on the eve of Maha Shivaratri, release of advance relief and ration on Maha Shivaratri festival, launching of cleanliness drive in all camps and temple premises on the eve of holy festival, enhancement of monthly cash relief up to Rs 25,000/ each family, pacing the work of bore well at Jagti township on fast track including laying of pipes, cancelation of NFSA forms and Amnesty for all migrants to make their records correct.
It also demanded a free bus for Yatris from Jagti township to Char Dham once in a week, implementation of all Government schemes on migrants, renovation of all residential blocks in all migrant colonies and Jagti township on priority basis, action against those who lock quarters after the death of occupant and White Paper against all community halls regarding their present status etc.
Additional Commissioner assured needful action.
