JAMMU, May 4: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) president Desh Rattan Pandita along with Chairman of the organisation B K Raina called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants, Dr Arvind Karwani and discussed water shortage problem at Jagti township and other camps with him.
The delegation informed the RRC that migrants are facing grave hardship due to water scarcity in this hot Summer.
“We have already demanded installation of bore wells at Jagti township which is only permanent solution and there is no any other solution to solve the water problem’’ he said.
Relief Commissioner assured that steps will be taken to install bore wells at Jagti township. In this regard the Relief Organisation is going to take up the issue with Ground Water Department to start work before rainy season so that bore wells can be installed and people may not suffer.
Desh Rattan Pandita today talked to Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bandipora in North Kashmir on phone and urged him to get encroachments removed from Pandits land and shrines in entire district.
