JAMMU, June 9: To discuss the burning issues of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) community and steps to be taken for their welfare, a joint meeting of AIMCCC and ASKPC was held here today.
The meeting was presided by AIMCCC president Desh Rattan Pandita in which M L Malla, heading a ten member delegation of ASKPC was the chief guest.
Both the leaders stressed mainly upon unity among KP community and appealed them to unite, leaving behind self/political interests for safeguard and reconstruction of society, to make it a strong pillar of security for present and coming generations.
During the meeting, it was unanimously agreed to go ahead with sincerity, dedication and positivity to make the ASKPC more functional by performing fresh and free elections.
It was seriously felt that the KP community has been totally ignored by every Government till now and the time has come to fight jointly against such people who are trying to create confusion among community by issuing false statements on different subjects.
Among others who attended the meeting included A K Raina, P K Raina, Ashok Bhat, Sundri Lal Koul, Shadi Lal, Rohit, Virender, Naveen, Bharat Bushan, Desh Rattan Pandita, P N Jalali, J L Raina, Meela Misri, Anjli Kar and Priya Dhar.
