JAMMU, Jan 12: All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) held a meeting here today in which the members from Anand Nagar, Saraswati Vihar, Manorama Vihar , Laxmi Vihar , Santra Morh and Udaiwala participated. The meeting was chaired by AIKPC president, Rajinder Kilm.
The members while highlighting the problems of displaced Pandits from Kashmir urged the Government to settle the demands.
The meeting demanded special drive for displaced Pandit youth in police and security forces, reservation in Government jobs in UT and at Centre, release of balance ex-gratia, enhancement of cash relief to Rs 5000 per soul and implementation of NFSA and amnesty so that old record is set right.
Rajinder Kilm urged the Government to settle these demands at an earliest. He also expressed concern over Government’s failure in restoring encroached land of Avtar Krishan Koul who is sitting on dharna in front of Relief Organisation for last over one month.
Others present in the meeting included J L Bhat, Sameer Ganjoo, Susheel Bhat, Sameer Raina, B L Bhat, Sarojni Bhat and others.
