JAMMU, Oct 9: AIIMS Jammu had the distinct honour of hosting Prof Mohammad Sultan Khuroo, an internationally renowned gastroenterologist and liver transplant expert, for an oration titled “My Journey to Explore the Unknown.”
Prof Khuroo, celebrated globally for his discovery of the Hepatitis E virus (HEV) and pioneering contributions to liver research, took the audience on a captivating journey through his decades of medical exploration. His talk comprehensively intertwined science, perseverance, and humanity — leaving an indelible impact on everyone present.
Reflecting on his path from humble beginnings in Kashmir to international acclaim, Prof Khuroo emphasized that true success in medicine lies not merely in skill, but in compassion, curiosity, and courage to challenge the unknown.
