JAMMU, May 25: All India Insurance Employees Association today donated an Ambulance and two machines for keeping dead bodies to the Government Medical College Hospital Jammu. The Association also donated 22 water campers for 11 flood affected Government schools of Zone Satwari in Jammu.
For the purpose a relief camp was organized by the members of the Association, here today. AIIEA president Amanullah Khan, general secretary V Ramesh, vice president R C Sharma, joint secretary A K Bhatnagar and chief treasurer B S Ravi were present in the relief camp.
The Association formally handed over keys of the van and machines to the Principal GMC Hospital Dr Ghanshyam Dev Gupta.
On the occasion, AIIEA also distributed monetary assistance to LIC/GIC employees, who suffered losses to the properties and household belongings during the recent floods.
The donation was collected by members of the Association for distribution of same among the flood victims of Jammu and Kashmir.
Amanullah Khan highlighted the activities undertaken by AIIEA from time to time for serving the humanity. He informed that Rs 5 lacs have been contributed by AIEEA for the relief to Nepal earthquake victims.
Vice-president and general secretary of the Association also spoke on the occasion and threw light on various infinitives taken by the members.
