JAMMU, Apr 3: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) SC Department has announced the ad-hoc appointment of District Congress Committee (DCC) Chairpersons for the SC Department in the Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (J&K PCC), aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational structure at the grassroots level.
In an official communication issued by Rajendra Pal Gautam, National chairman of the AICC SC Department, the appointments have been made with the approval of the AICC. The notification was addressed to J&K PCC president Tariq Hameed Karra, seeking his guidance and support for the newly appointed functionaries.
As per the list, Yograj (Kathua), Vinod Kumar (Samba), Balkrishan (Rajouri), Baldev Raj (Jammu Rural – Acting), Bhushan Kumar (Doda), Amar Singh (Kishtwar), Sahil Shivotra (Jammu Rural), and Sham Bansal (Udhampur) have been appointed as DCC Chairpersons of the SC Department in their respective districts.
The appointments have been made on an ad-hoc basis, and the performance of the appointees will be closely monitored over the next three months. Their continuation and regularization will depend on their effectiveness, commitment, and contribution towards strengthening the organization and addressing issues related to the Scheduled Caste community.
