JAMMU, Sept 1: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) here today held a meeting which was chaired by its president, Abdul Majid Malik.
Speakers in the meeting said that Indian Constitution was implemented on January 26, 1950 but the then Congress party never brought the implementation of the constitution on ground.
They said that Poona Pact was implemented under many constraints because of Dr. B.R Ambedker but at the same time promises made by Congress to grant constitutional rights of OBCs was never fulfilled by the Congress.
“In J&K, the political parties like NC never allowed the natural flow of justice for OBCs under the then CM Farooq Abdullah while the apex court’s judgment of 1992 was implemented throughout the country,” they maintained adding that other successive Governments of Congress-NC, PDP-Congress also ignored OBCs.
They claimed that Abrogation of Art 370 was partial as rules meant for the benefit of poor were blocked in it.
AIBCU advised all OBCs to come on one platform to fight against the forces working against them in J&K and rest of the country.
M.R Bangotra, Kewal Fotra, Som Lal Doha, Prem Bogal, Prof Kali Dass and others were also present in the meeting.
