JAMMU, Apr 3: A deputation of All India Backward Classes Union (Social) AIBCU under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik, president of the Union, met Social Welfare Minister Bali Bhagat at his residence and put forth the long pending demands of the State OBCs, today.
The deputation discussed regarding making the State Commission for backward classes meaningful with its Chairman from the OBC Category with all the four members among the OBCs and added that Chairman from upper caste is not acceptable, State OBC-Advisory and Development Board be handed over to the State OBCs with out politicization and due representation in the Upper House by nominating at least three OBC members not related to any political party under Art 50 of JK Constitution.
The union has already sent a letter to Governor over the implementation of 27% reservation as per Apex Court’s Judgment of 1992 on Mandal Report in accordance with the raised slogans of Narendra Modi, PM, and his team during Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in J&K and disassociate RBA and ALC categories from the State Commission of Backward Classes.
All the persons who accompanied the deputation appealed the Social Welfare Minister to fulfill the long pending demands of the State OBCs.
Besides the deputation has also requested DyCM Dr Nirmal Singh, to act on their demands.
Others who accompanied the deputation were Raj Kumar, Sandokh Chand, Rajinder Singh, Girdhari Lal, Master Sain Dass, Mohinder Kumar, Daulat Ram, Deepak Panday, Brij Mehra, Romesh Kumar, Nijam-ud-Mohd Ashraf, H D Betab, Mohd Arfan, Sita Ram, Mohd Kabir and Prof Kali Dass.
