REASI, Dec 14: All India Backward Classes Union (Social) has demanded implementation of Mandal Commission Report in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a meeting of the Union held at Allah Parakh, in Pouni Teshil of district Reasi the other day, the speakers raised the voice for implementation of Mandal Commission Report and conduct of OBC census in J&K.
The speakers forcefully put forth their demands and criticised the attitude of the Govt for not providing 27 % reservation to the OBCs inspite of the abrogation of Art 370. They also demanded conduct of OBC census in J&K.
The members raised a question mark on the working of State Commission for Socially and Educational Backward Classes which has already submitted its interim report in March 2021 but not making it public inspite of it’s expiry on July 15, 2021.
Chairman Naresh Verma, president Kewal Kumar, Sudesh Kumar, Capt Rashpal organised the program which was attended by a good number of people from Pouni and Reasi area besides Union office bearers.
