Agnishekhar, Wattal appeal for unity among KPs

JAMMU, Apr 3: Convener Panun Kashmir (PK) and senior KP leader, Dr Agnishekhar while expressing serious concern over recent happenings at Hariparvat, Srinagar stressed that community should solve all issues among themselves instead of launching vociferous campaign on social media which does not suit a civilised society.
Commenting on recent happenings at Hariparvat Shrine, he said whatever issue is there can be settled through negotiations. He said that nobody whose integrity is doubtful should be supported at any cost. But at the same time the sensitivity of situation and issues should be taken into consideration.
Dr Agnishekhar said that Hariparvat is a revered shrine and presiding deity of Kashmir and devotees used to visit this holy shrine entire year in general and holy Navratras in particular. He appealed the people that in case there is any dispute or difference the same can be sorted out without confrontation by members of the community among them amicably.
Meanwhile, Kiran Wattal Chairman Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj said that he also stands for settling any sort of dispute amicably by avoiding confrontation as such acts bring bad name to community as a whole. Wattal said that during the meeting convened by Hariparvat Sanstha here he participated on the invitation of the Sanstha and suggested that before reaching any conclusion the version of another party should also be heard. For this another meeting be convened in which the second party also be invited to reach at certain conclusion. He said neither he as a member of community nor as president, VKS has given clean chit to anybody but has made it clear time and again that no conclusion can be reached till the second party is heard. He said scrutiny of accounts is the duty of auditors. He also stressed on settling all issues amicably.
Both Agnishekhar and Wattal said unity among the rank and file of the community is need of hour at this crucial juncture.
