JAMMU, Sept 28: Aggarwal Sabha Jammu & Kashmir celebrated the 5150th Jayanti of Shri Maharaja Agrasen with devotion and splendour by organizing a function at Abhinav Theatre, here today.
The occasion witnessed enthusiastic participation of all age groups from Aggarwal families across the Union Territory. The celebrations commenced with a Havan at the Sabha premises, followed by lamp lighting at the venue by Sabha President Hardeep Aggarwal (CA), along with senior office bearers and distinguished guests.
Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Indian Railways (Jammu), was chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he recalled the timeless principles of Maharaja Agrasen – equality, service, and entrepreneurship and commended the Aggarwal community for upholding these values across social and economic spheres.
This was followed by a vibrant cultural programme featuring dance performances, music, and children’s shows, which enthralled the audience while celebrating the community’s talent and paying homage to Maharaja Agrasen’s legacy. The programme was compeered by Shally Aggarwal.
On this occasion, the Sabha felicitated members above 80 years of age for their lifelong contributions and blessings, and honoured meritorious students for outstanding academic achievements. All participants and performers were presented with mementos as a mark of appreciation.
General Secretary Anoop Mittal highlighted the Sabha’s leadership in social welfare, including timely relief and support extended to communities affected by recent floods. The event concluded with a vote of thanks
Besides president Hardeep Aggarwal, the programme was graced by the active presence of all the office bearers for the term 2024-26, who included Harish Aggarwal – Sr Vice President, Ravinder Mittal – Vice President, Anoop Mittal – General Secretary, Narinder Aggarwal – Secretary and Shambhu Aggarwal-Treasurer.
