In a video being circulated on authenticated Social Media, LeT commander Qaasim can be heard confessing that Muridke headquarters of the LeT, located in Sheikhpora district of Pakistan’s Punjab province, which was destroyed on May 7 , was being rebuilt ‘bigger than before’.
The process of rebuilding it (Muridke headquarters of Lashkar outfit) is underway,” Qaasim, said while standing in front of the damaged headquarters.
Indian Armed Forces targeted LeT headquarter at Muridke and Jaish-e-Mohammed headquarter at Bahawalpur deep inside Pakistan during Operation Sindoor from May 6-10. The headquarters were destroyed and several terrorists and their commanders were killed.
The Operation Sindoor was carried out in the aftermath of April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 civilians including 25 tourists and a local were killed.
Qaasim admitted that many terrorists received training at the destroyed headquarters of the outfit.
In another video, the LeT operative urged Pakistani youths to join Daura-e-Suffa at Markaz Taiba in Muridke. Daura-e-Suffa is a terror training program that includes basic training with religious indoctrination as part of the “jihadi training program”.
In another video circulating on Social Media, LeT deputy chief Saifullah Kasuri was heard making bold claims about Pakistan’s support for the terrorist organization
He can be heard saying that the Pakistan Government and army have provided funds to rebuild the terrorist group’s headquarter in Muridke.
In a video few days back, Jaish-e-Mohammed top terrorist Ilyas Kashmiri had admitted that Bahawalpur headquarter of the outfit was destroyed on May 7.
Lashkar has started fundraising campaigns under the cover of flood relief to rebuild the destroyed headquarter.
Pakistan Government has also allocated PKR 4 crore, but the group estimates the rebuilding will cost over PKR 15 crore. Past reports showed that LeT has often diverted humanitarian aid to rebuild terror infrastructure.
