JAMMU, May 9: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Raghav Langar today ordered complete house to house verification of health status of symptomatic COVID-19 positive/ suspect cases and mopping up exercise by the District Magistrates from May 11-13.
In an order issued today, Dr Langar said the joint teams of concerned line departments will be constituted by the District Magistrates, preferably using areas/households of responsibility of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) as the verification entity.
“Verification and mopping-up teams should essentially consist of local Patwari/Revenue official, beat constable, BLO and ANM/ASHA/MPHW of the Health Department,’’ the order said.
It read that the verification teams would enquire about general wellbeing of inmates of the household/health status of isolated COVID positive persons/suspect cases and enquire regarding any other co-morbidities etc.
The teams will refer moderately and severely COVID positive or suspected COVID persons to the nearest Triage Facilities for screening and admission in the dedicated COVID hospitals.
“The mildly symptomatic persons in the elderly age group and having other co-morbidities and those who have difficulty in self isolation will be got admitted to the COVID Care Centres being operationalized by the district administration for their better supervision and care,’’ the order said.
