Admn orders action against R&B Infra Project Pvt Ltd, NHIDCL

KISHTWAR, Nov 12: Taking strong cognisance of a report submitted by Tehsildar Drabshalla, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma has today directed SHO Kishtwar to lodge FIR under Section 133 and the relevant provisions of the law in the matter as per the norms against the erring agency namely M/s R&B Infra Project Private Limited and NHIDCL.
As reported by the authorities of local administration it has been indicated that the work on NH-244 is being executed by M/s R&B Infra Project Private Limited and the muck/debris is being dumped on the land acquired for JKSPDC for Rattle Hydro Electric Power Project of village Salana Tehsil Drabshalla.
Whereas, Rattle Hydro Electric Power Project is the prestigious project and the huge quantity of muck dumped in this land will adversely affect this project and also causes huge loss to the Government exchequer.
The report further reads that unscientific muck/debris dumping at unspecified locations along the National Highway NH-244 leads to severe damage to the ecology flora and fauna of this ecologically fragile area. Besides the debris also goes into river Chinab leading to irrepairable damage to its physical and biological features which bears offences and are punishable under Environment Protection Act 1986; Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1975 besides it leads a public nuisance in the area under Section 133.
Furthermore, during site visit by the ADM Kishtwar, one vehicle of the concerned agency was found engaged in illegal dumping of waste/debris on the land acquired by this collectorate for JKSPDC for Rattle Hydro Electric Power Project at village Salana of tehsil Drabshalla.
Keeping in view the above mentioned facts, SHO Kishtwar has been directed to lodge FIR under Section 133 and other relevant provisions of the law in the matter as per the norms against the erring agency namely M/s R&B Infra Project Private Limited and NHIDCL.
Besides, SHO Kishtwar has been directed to take all vehicles involved in such illegal activities under his custody till further directions.
