JAMMU, Feb 19: President Jammu and Kashmir Bachao Tehreek and former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil today expressed concern over casual approach of the Government towards miseries of the common masses of the State.
He said that PDP is busy in achieving its political consolidation and empowerment goal and has turned blind eye towards real burning administrative, economic and unemployment issues. Former Minister said that ineptness of the field administration is clear and visible as it has miserably failed in tackling routine matters of public interest. He termed the present administrative mechanism at its lowest ebb as situation has worsened badly and presence of Government is not felt particularly in towns, rural and far flung areas where people are suffering for ordinary amenities.
Addressing party workers’ meeting at Jammu Vakil said people at the helm of affairs at the district level behave like mute spectators forcing people to suffer for essential commodities, drinking water and power supply. Senior leader said that present regime has failed to play the role of an elected Government and has left ordinary people at the mercy of God.
Former Minister appealed to the Governor to compel the Government for activation of administration at all levels because the situation in is not encouraging as accountability is completely missing in governance setup.
Vakil also expressed concern over continuation of blood bath, mayhem and uncertainty in the Valley and termed the situation as alarming. He reiterated that situation could never be brought under control by using war tactics and increasing footprint of armed forces. He said that both State and Central Governments have failed to look into the reasons of local educated youth taking up arms again and criticized both them for ignoring their aspirations. Vakil said that the talent of the youth needs to explored and utilized properly rather than declaring them anti- national. He said the youth are ready to serve in BSF, ITBP, Army or Police.
