JAMMU, Mar 6: On the eve of International Women’s Day, Anand Jain ADGP Jammu Zone today flagged off “Pink Patrol” from Women’s Police Station Gandhinagar Jammu.
These Pink Patrols will be deployed on various vital & crowded locations within the Jammu city for safety & security of the women folk & girls.These Pink Patrols will ensure proper patrolling in the various locations  to timely address issues of crimes against women especially eve-teasing.
On the occasion, ADG said that the purpose of Pink Patrol is to build confidence measures among women folk and girl students of Jammu District.Dr. Sunil Gupta, DIG JKS Range,Dr. Vinod Kumar-SSP Jammu, Ajay Sharma, SP South, Shivam Sidharth, SP North,Brijesh Sharma,SP Rural & several other Police officers and women from various sections of the society who are working for the welfare of women on various platforms like One-Stop Centre, Women Helpline, Children Welfare Committee and several other fields were present on the occasion.
ADGP said that J&K Police is committed to provide crime free atmosphere to every citizen especially women. He also launched 24*7 women helpline number 9906310101 of Jammu Police for women in distress on this occasion.
