JAMMU, Feb 4: An impressive function was organized today by the NCC of Government MAM College in collaboration with 2nd J&K Boys NCC Battalion under the guidance of Officiating Commanding Officer Lt Col Monisha SRS, on the visit of Major General SS Jhakar, ADG, NCC.
The Major General was welcomed by giving Guard of Honour with weapon. Thereafter, an impressive cultural programme was organized in the conference hall of the College and subsequently he inspected the store and office of NCC Infantry unit of the College.
Principal of the College, Dr Anita Sudan, remarked that the visit of the ADG NCC, to the college will be a source of inspiration and motivation for the young Cadets. Later, the activity report of NCC was presented by Lt Savita Jamwal, ANO of the College.
Major General SS Jhakar lauded the work of NCC infantry wing of the College and hoped that at least 15 Cadets each should be selected in each of camps like Thal Sena Camp, Republic Day Camp and DG National Games in the near future taking in to account the immense capabilities seen among the young cadets of the College.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by a student of BSc III year.
