ADC detects irregularities during visit to Kandi schools

RAJOURI, Oct 18: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Koteranka (Kandi), Dil Mir, conducted a surprise inspection of several Government schools in Kandi area and detected irregularities there.
Addl DC paid visit to Govt Middle School Bejee, Government Primary School Narbani, and Primary School Thandasoo. The visit aimed to assess the functioning of schools and ensure punctuality and accountability among the teaching staff.
During the inspection, ADC Koteranka found several discrepancies, including teachers absent from duty, non-availability of the attendance register in one school, non-preparation of the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) in one school and MDM was prepared but was of substandard in another school.
Following the visit, ADC Koteranka submitted a detailed report to the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri for necessary and strict action against the defaulters.
When contacted, ADC Koteranka Dil Mir said that such visits are part of the administration’s continuous efforts to improve the quality of education and ensure that all Government schools function efficiently. He emphasized that negligence and absenteeism will not be tolerated.
CEO Rajouri Mohd Hafiz said he has taken serious note of the findings and ordered immediate action. He confirmed that two teachers – Naseeb Hussain and Hardesh Singh – have been attached to Middle School Phagoli, and their salary also withheld. Additionally, the salary of two other staff members has been withheld, and explanations have been sought from the staff of all three schools. He said an inquiry has been ordered in this regard.
