JAMMU, Dec 22: Adbi Kunj, in collaboration with Progressive Youth Society (PYS), Ramnagar, Udhampur, today organized a poetry programme on the occasion of Dogri Manyata Diwas at Dr Ambedkar High School, Rajpura, Mangotrian, Jammu.
As per a statement, the event was presided over by literary figure Brij Mohan ‘Danish’ Dubey, while Pritipal Singh ‘Betab’ attended the programme as Chief Guest, and noted film actor Janak Bhardwaj graced as the Guest of the Honour.
Poetess Khushboo Jain was the Special Guest and was honored with Om Sharma Jandrari Memorial Award 2024-25 for her contribution to the literature.
On the occasion, several other poets presented their poems. They included Sartwar Chohan ‘Habeeb’, Santosh Shah ‘Nadaan’, Jatinder Jolly, KR Salgotra, Romesh Rahi, OP Shaker, OP Deepak, Manoj ‘Nischint’, Brij Mohan Dubey, Khushboo Jain, Janak Bhardwaj, Bishan Dass ‘Khaak’, Ashok Dogra ‘Ashk’, Iqbal Khullar, Rohini Gandharb Singh Charak, Vandana Bharti, Dr Om Prakash Chaand, Uttam Singh Rahi, BS Jamwal, Dr Amit Bhagat, Vinod Manchanda and Aarsh Dalmotra.
The programme highlighted the richness of Dogri language and literature and was well-received by the audience.
At the end of the event, Manoj ‘Nishchint’, President of Progressive Youth Society, presented a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, poets and organizers for making the programme a success.
