JAMMU, Nov 15: The residents of village Kheri, Raipur, block Bhalwal are facing water shortage in their area due to defunct tube well which was supplying water in their area.
A deputation of Kheri led by Abdul Ghani, Panch, Raipur, visited Excelsior and told that their water supply is affected from July 2014. They told that concerned Chief Engineer PHE and Executive Engineer Mechanical were apprised of the matter but their problem still existed.
Earlier, the water supply was restored by installing a new pump but after few days of installation it developed snag. The villagers have urged the concerned quarters to immediately restore their water supply or else they would be compelled to take the path of agitation.
It may be recalled that about 150 families are affected by the irregular water supply.
