JAMMU, Sept 3: JDA’s Rajinder Nagar locality Phase-I near Bantalab has been facing acute water scarcity not because of Monsoon fury but due to a fault in motor for past six days.
As per the residents, the local PHE officials said the fault repair would hardly take few hours but the Mechanical Department hasn’t repaired the motor even after six days.
Because of this, the locality has been reeling under acute water scarcity, the residents said.
While water supply in the area remained normal even after August 26 heavy rains, it was disrupted on August 29 due to mechanical fault which hasn’t been repaired even after six days.
People have urged the authorities to ensure that the fault is repaired immediately to avoid any further inconvenience to them.
