Sir,
Reference editorial ‘Acid test for Mufti’ by Ayaz Mughal (DE June 10). Indeed among all the issues and problems, the State is now confronted with, eradication of corruption occupies first place. The slogan of corruption-free governance given by the parties, now in coalition, seems difficult to be translated in reality. The termite of corruption that remained operative for several decades has caused acute damage to our political and economical systems. Misgovernance due to faulty administrative systems has been an encouraging factor for the malice. If this slur/evil continues, the social and economical condition of the State will be further worsened. Prevalence of corruption leads to injustice. Therefore, with determination and strong political will, its eradication can be possible.
Yours etc….
