MOHALI, Feb 27: Acharya Balkrishna, a prominent scientist and distinguished Ayurvedic scholar was honoured with the “Society for Ethnopharmacology (SFE) Outstanding National Ethno-Pharmacologist Award, in a function held here today.
This honour was awarded at the 13th International Congress of the Society for Ethnopharmacology and the International Conference on Translational Research in Ethnopharmacology, Integrating Traditional Medicine in Modern Healthcare, held at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali.
This award was presented by the SFE, recognising researchers who have made significant contributions to research and development in ethnopharmacology and traditional medicines.
During the event, Acharya Balkrishna shared that this recognition isn’t just a personal achievement but a proud moment for Ayurveda and India as a whole.
He highlighted that Patanjali is dedicated to revitalising Ayurveda and making healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone.

During the event, Dr Anurag Varshney, Chief Scientist at Patanjali, emphasised that Acharya Balkrishna’s achievement highlights Patanjali’s continued commitment to scientifically validating and progressing Ayurveda.
Under his leadership, the company has initiated numerous research projects to reinterpret Ayurveda with a modern scientific approach.
