UDHAMPUR, Feb 13: Police today has arrested an accused who was allegedly involved in an NDPS case.
The accused, namely Rakesh Kumar, son of Romal Chand of Nallah Ghorian, Udhampur, A/P Patoli, Jammu, was wanted in connection with FIR No. 05/2026 U/S 8/21/21/29 NDPS Act. He was apprehended by a police team of PP Tikri.
During the course of investigation, he was found involved in the backward linkage of the case. Section 29 of the NDPS Act has been established against him on the basis of technical analysis of CDRs and other evidence. Moreover Section 111 of the BNS has also been invoked in the instant case, as the prime accused Bilal Ahmed Mir son of Ghulam Qadir Mir of Lasjan, Srinagar has previously been involved in two separate NDPS cases FIR No. 249/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act of P/S Nagrota and FIR No. 02/2023 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act of P/S Rajbagh, Srinagar. Further investigation in the case is underway.
