REASI, May 23: With the arrest of accused, Police has worked out a case of snatching cash within 48 hours of the crime.
The snatching had taken place at Bus stand Reasi on Saturday when Sakeena Bibi, wife of Mohd Sharief of Simbal Chowa was robbed off her cash and a case FIR number 118/2022, under section 382 IPC was registered in this connection at Police Station Reasi.
The victim had withdrawn Rs 55000 from J&K Bank Reasi on Saturday around 1300 hrs and was on her way back home, when one person snatched her bag containing the cash and ran away along with bag from the spot.
Sensing gravity of the offence, SSP Reasi Amit Gupta constituted multiple teams of Police Station Reasi to work out the snatching case. Police teams scanned CCTV footage from the area and rounded up the suspect, namely Rajinder Singh son of Sukhdev Singh of Jig Bagli, at present Gran Morh Reasi, who confessed about committing of crime.
