JAMMU, Nov 25: Police today arrested both the accused, who were involved in a shootout near Railway bridge, Narwal few days back.
SSP Jammu Atul Goel said that, a man identified as Prabjot Singh, son of Tarlochan Singh resident of Narwal Pain, Satwari was shot at by Manmohan Singh alias Jajji, son of Tarlochan Singh of Priyadarshani lane, Talab Tillo and Kewal Krishan alias Kaka, son of Late Ram Lal of Talab Tillo near Railway bridge, Narwal on November 22.
The accused fled from the spot after committing the crime in their Wagon R car bearing registration number JKO2AK-2878.
To arrest the accused, a team headed by SP South Rahul Malik and assisted by SDPO SS Sambyal, SHO Chanchal Singh and inchagre Police Post Narwal SI Manoj Dhar was constituted, the SSP informed.
Mr Goel said that the team recovered the car used in the crime from North Block parking, Bahu Plaza on November 23 and also succeeded in arresting the accused from a hideout today.
A pistol and five live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
