DODA, Oct 15: Police here arrested an accused who evading arrest for over one and a half month in connection with rape and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case.
According to Police, the accused, identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Phulail Singh, resident of Chakka Tund, Ramban, was wanted in a case registered under FIR No. 208/2025, under Sections 3 & 4 read with Section 18 of the POCSO Act at Police Station Doda.
After registration of the FIR, the accused went into hiding. A special Police team was constituted on the direction of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda and SHO Police Station Doda and it was led by In-Charge Police Post Kastigarh.
After hectic efforts the team arrested the accused.
