KISHTWAR, July 19: A woman here today got killed after a bullet fired “accidentally” hit her in Arigam area last night.

As per reports, a gunshot allegedly fired accidentally by a VDG member, Sandeep Kumar, son of Ram Lal, resident of Arigam Singhpura, hit Pushpa Devi, wife of Rakesh Kumar, resident of Arigam, last night, resulting in her on spot death.
The VDG member and the victim lady were relatives.
After getting information about the incident, cops from Police Station Chatroo reached the spot and took possession of the body and arrested the VDG member.
After post-mortem and other legal formalities the body was handed over to the family members of the deceased for last rites.
A case has been registered in this regard at Police Station Chatroo and investigation was started.
