KISHTWAR, Jan 11: A minor was killed here after a bullet fired accidentally from the gun of his father, a VDG member, hit him in Loidhar, Ward No. 4 falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chatroo.

Sources informed that the VDG member, Piary Lal, was cleaning his gun when it went off accidentally and a bullet hit his 16 year old son Anuj Kumar killing him on the spot.
After getting information about the incident, cops rushed to the spot and seized the gun besides shifting the dead body of the boy to a nearby hospital.
After post-mortem and other legal formalities, the dead body was handed over to the relatives for last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
