Academy releases “Happiest” Hindi book by Raj Reshi Sharma

JAMMU, Sept 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organized a book release function at K L Saigal Hall, Jammu, to formally launch a Hindi essays collection “Happiest”, authored by Raj Reshi Sharma.
The event was graced by former Minister Ajay Sadhotra as chief guest, Padma Shri Jatinder Udhampuri as special guest, and Shalinder Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, as guest of honour. The presidium was also shared by Dr Javaid Rahi, Chief Editor and Divisional Head (Jammu) of the Academy; Dr Chanchal Sharma, Editor Hindi, and Dr Kalpna Rattan, former Principal.
In his welcome address, Dr Javaid Rahi stated that the objective of the programme was to provide a platform to Hindi writers to discuss new books among the intellectual fraternity.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Sadhotra said that the book “Happiest” teaches the “Art of Living” and guides readers on how to attain happiness in the present era. He described it as a great contribution of Raj Reshi Sharma to society and quoted several paragraphs from the book that reflect on life’s experiences.
Padma Shri Jatinder Udhampuri, in his remarks, observed that such books are the need of the hour to guide society towards a better way of living. He also highlighted the core message of the book.
Shalinder Singh, SSP, noted that the book is a valuable addition to Hindi essay writing with special reference to Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Kalpna Rattan praised the consistent literary output of Raj Reshi Sharma, stating that post-retirement he has immensely enriched Hindi literature.
Captain Lalit Sharma presented a paper on the book, noting that “Happiest” is the author’s 36th published work. He expressed confidence that readers will find its content meaningful and relatable to their lives.
The author, Raj Reshi Sharma, also spoke on the occasion and shared insights into the background and motivation behind writing the book.
The proceedings were conducted by Dr Chanchal Sharma, who also presented the vote of thanks on behalf of Secretary Academy, Harvinder Kour.
