JAMMU, June 9: To highlight the various issues discussed in recently held National Executive Council (NEC) 2025 meeting, which held on 29-31 May in Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Raipur, Chhattisgarh, ABVP organized a press conference here today.
Addressing the media persons, Sannak Shrivats, state secretary, ABVP Jammu Kashmir said, “As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, ABVP Jammu Kashmir will connect with MISA detainees and former karyakartas through dialogues, rallies and remembrance events.”
He said, “Marking the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, from 25th June, dialogues, rallies and remembrance events will be held in university campuses with former karyakartas and MISA detainees. We will also launch campaigns to honor Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary and Rani Abbakka’s 500th birth anniversary.”
“Our focus will be on student welfare, education reforms and nation-building, while promoting internal security and global standing. We stand in solidarity with India’s security forces and appreciate their bravery in operations ‘Sindoor’ and ‘Kagar’,” he said.
“On the centenary of Prof Yashwantrao Kelkar, regional centres will organize former activist congregations, workshops, speeches, exhibitions and will publish the substantive literature. Additionally, in light of the upcoming RSS centenary year, focus will be laid on expansion and qualitative enhancement of organisational work and a dedicated campaign will be launched under the call for ‘Panch Parivartan’,” said Shrivats.
He also highlighted key resolutions passed during the meeting, including demands for policy formulation to regulate exploitative practices by coaching institutions and concerns over delays in appointing vice chancellors in Central Universities. The organization also discussed India’s internal security and global standing, applauding the bravery of Indian armed forces in recent operations.
ABVP applauded and appreciated the bravery and strategic prowess of Indian armed forces in recent operations ‘Sindoor’ and ‘Kagar’ and expressed unified support for the nation’s security forces.
CWC member Akshi Billowria and Mahanagar secretary Harish Sharma were also present during the conference.
