ABVP demands justice in BDS student’s death case

JAMMU, July 27: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Kashmir has demanded justice for Shweta Singh, a BDS final year student, who ended her life due to alleged harassment by the college staff.
ABVP has urged the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations and take action against those responsible besides promoting a supportive and inclusive environment in educational institutions.
Sannak Shrivats, State Secretary ABVP Jammu Kashmir, Stated that the incident is a wake-up call for all and demanded immediate attention. “The allegations of harassment by the college staff are deeply disturbing and demand immediate attention,” he said.
ABVP leader demanded that Naini and Bhagwat faculty of Dental College Udaipur, accused of harassment, be held accountable for their actions. Justice for Shweta Singh and her family is a step towards ensuring that educational institutions prioritize student welfare and safety, he added.
