JAMMU, Jan 19: Demanding 15 percent relaxation in 10th and 12th exams for Summer Zone students, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Kashmir today submitted memorandum in this regard to the Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
Similar memorandums were submitted by ABVP delegation at district headquarters in Jammu Zone, through the Deputy Commissioners concerned.
However, trouble erupted at Reasi as Police detained some ABVP activists when they resorted to protest against DC Reasi after denial of permission to meet the officer.
In the memorandum, ABVP has highlighted the disruptions in the academic calendar due to Operation Sindoor, summer breaks, and floods, which have significantly impacted the students’ preparation.
The memorandum emphasizes that Summer Zone students have faced unprecedented challenges, including school closures and loss of instructional days, and therefore, deserve equal treatment and opportunities.
