JAMMU, Oct 16: Jhajjar Kotli Police today arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for last seven years.
Faizan Ahmed, a resident of Cherpora, district Anantnag, who had been evading arrest for the past seven years was arrested today by Jhajjar Kotli Police. He was wanted in a criminal case registered under FIR Number 47/2018 under Sections 279/337 RPC at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
A warrant under Section 512 CrPC had been issued against him. Acting on a specific tip-off, a police team led by Inspector Vikas Dogra, SHO Jhajjar Kotli, apprehended the accused.
This marks the third absconder traced or arrested by Jhajjar Kotli Police in the last two days, highlighting the department’s ongoing efforts to bring fugitives to justice.
